Great post Christian! I think your point about reducing the amount of nicey-ness by an between entrepreneur s an mentors is crucial to creating battle hardened startups and entrepreneurs that can raise the quality of life for everyone in iowa. I also really appreciate your statement about the size of our communities not really having to be a limitation. you've inspired an idea in me to connect the smaller communities on a circuit to participate in simultaneous tech brew/pitch and grow/ etc live... G+ hangout anyone?

Great post...as a former Iowan now working around Boulder for Silicon Valley Bank, I can fully appreciate the steps that companies "back home" might need to take to feel comfortable in a climate of rapid development, rapid feedback, rapid development. Refine it and build it or kill it quickly.
