Lets do this: StartupIowa

For starters, ThincIowa was great this week.  Thanks to Geoff Wood and the team at Silicon Prairie for all of their hard work to make the event happen.

One of the speakers there was Scott Case, the CEO of StartupAmerica.  He and I had an opportunity to speak Thursday night about the StartupTennessee and StartupConnecticut efforts underway, and it sounded much like the amazing things going on in Iowa.  I mentioned this to him, and said we should add Iowa to his list of regions supporting the StartupAmerica goals (which we already are).

So lets do this thing.

This is a link to a google doc that I am asking that you add your expertise and knowledge to, with the goal to aggregate a list of the efforts already underway (or about to be) in the state in the startup arena. 

Lets build this mega-franken-doc, put a bow on it, and take it to the Governor.  We are already doing so much more than can be enumerated, so with a little bit of effort, we'll get some much-overdue recognition for this State and how much we kick ass.

I'm not cranky lately, really! I have just been finding a plethora of topically-relevant quotes to share.  Today's quote?  From no less than James Madison:
